Policies:

Logging On

The system can track how long you spend in the course; however, it cannot tell exactly what you are doing. Therefore, “logging on” is not a part of attendance or participation. Should you have issues or problems in the course concerning posting assignments or to the discussion forums, you will not be able to use the “I logged into the course” defense.

Communication

Instructor Feedback/Communication
I will read discussions and score them; and reply to messages regularly. You will receive specific feedback on your assignment in the form of a rubric attached to your electronic submissions.

I will use the Announcement section in Canvas to communicate changes and other information to the course. I will contact individuals through the Canvas messaging tool.

Student Feedback/Communication
I welcome all feedback on the course. My preferred method of communication with individual students is through the Canvas messaging tool which forwards alerts to my LU email account. I will respond to
messages within two days (Sunday, 6pm through Thursday, 5pm).

Late submissions
All course work is expected to be submitted on time. Please submit work in plenty of time so technical difficulties should they occur can be handled and not cause you to request extensions because they will not be granted. The due dates and times associated with each assessment are clearly stated in Canvas and on the course schedule.

Academic Dishonesty and Plagiarism

Any student found to have committed any acts of dishonesty, including but not limited to cheating, plagiarism, or other forms of academic dishonesty is subject to the disciplinary sanctions outlined in Article IVB of the Student Handbook.
